This is Little Paddington's new friend, his little dog. He is a black spaniel, and is just as naughty as Little Paddington!

Bear Idol
One of my favourite television programs is 'Bear Idol', where a lot of bears sing songs, and the best singer wins a prize. This is my audition for Bear Idol 2009. I hope I get on the show!

Sellotape bear
Today Little Paddington decided to wrap up a nice present for Daddy Paddington using sellotape. The problem was that sellotape happens to be quite sticky, and he got all wrapped up in it!
Little Paddington was so wrapped up in sellotape that he fell over! He needed me to come and help him get free! What a mischievous bear!

Why bears shouldn't use sewing machines
Cousin Paddington had ripped a hole in his lovely blue coat, so he decided to mend it himself using the sewing machine. It's a good job he did not know how to turn the machine on, because it is very dangerous for little bears to play with sewing machines. They should always let older bears do their sewing for them!

Abseiling bear
Little Paddington has taken up abseiling! As he is a very little bear, he is only allowed to abseil from the hook that usually holds the hanging baskets! When he gets bigger he may be able to abseil from bigger heights, possibly as tall as the washing line. Little Paddington carries his suitcase with him even when abseiling - he needs to keep his favourite marmalade sandwiches close, just in case he gets hungry!

Warming up!
Daddy Paddington and Mr Monkey play in the snow
Daddy Paddington hadn't seen snow for a long time, so he decided to go outside and play. It was then that he remembered how cold the snow was! Older bears should be especially careful in the snow. Daddy Paddington had his emergency spoon in his pocket just in case he was trapped by an avalanche and needed to dig his way out.
Mr Monkey decided that he would play in the snow too, but pretty quickly he realised that monkeys aren't equipped for snowy weather! Oh how he wished he could have nice warm wellington boots and a duffel coat like Daddy Paddington. It's too cold for monkeys!

Snowfight
I had a snow fight with Little Paddington, and it seems that he struck the first blow ...
.... but I won in the end! Poor Little Paddington was covered in snow! It's a good job he was wrapped up properly. It took him a long time to get warm afterwards. He had a mug of tea and a marmalade sandwich whilst sitting on the radiator to warm up!

Climbing the stairs
Today Daddy Paddington showed me the safe way to go up and down the stairs. Daddy Paddington is bigger than me so it is easier for him to climb the stairs. I am only little so it was harder for me! Little bears should remember not to run up or down stairs because it is dangerous as they may fall and hurt themselves.

Paddington Bear's guide to kitchen safety
Microwaves are too complicated for little bears, and they should remember not to put shiny spoons in the microwave!
Oven's can be very dangerous for little bears, and they should take care not to fall in the oven whilst opening the door. You can use an oven to cook nice big meals, but a little bear should perhaps let a bigger bear show them how!
It is important not to touch the kettle whilst it is boiling because it is very hot and can burn little bears. Get a bigger bear to lift up the kettle to fill it with water, and remember not to drink the tea or coffee straight away because the water will be too hot!
